Palm Beach, Florida – NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said on Tuesday that the idea of NFL players competitions for flagship football in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 is a popular topic among the players of the league and suggested that it will probably happen.
“I have heard directly from many players who want to participate and represent their country, be it the United States or the countries they came from,” Goodell said when he packed the annual NFL meeting.
Participation in the Olympics was one of the topics of interview with the owners and league officials this week, ESPN said several people because NFL is trying to solve the problems associated with players participating in the games.
Men’s and female flagship will make their debut as an Olympic sport in 2028 and its addition to the games comes partly because of full NFL support. Foot Football is a key initiative for NFL because the league considers it a way of growing American football at international level.
However, there are problems that need to be solved, including the protection of injuries to teams and players and the Olympic Plan, which could contradict the NFL training camps at the end of the summer. Games are scheduled for 14.-30. July 2028.
“I think this is something we will continue to discuss with, not only with the union, but also clubs,” Goodell said. “I think both of them are things that we will probably solve sometime in the next 60 days.”
Else little Goodell continued to defend the attitude of the league to diversity in the light of widespread pressure across the country against diversity, justice and inclusion.
“We are fully determined to continue this work to try to develop better talent and give them this opportunity and eventually improve the NFL,” Goodell said. “So we’re all on it.”
Goodell asked about the current landscape of the league that does not include any black offensive coordinators, and said, “We have a lot of great attacking minds – black, white and young women who come to it. So, that’s always so many opportunities.
Asked previously on his attitude to the rule of Rooney -Který, it requires teams to talk to with insufficient candidates for various roles, including head coach and CEO – – – – – Dallas Cowboys The owner Jerry Jones offered his support.
“I’m for the Rooney rule,” he said.
